Karen Carson

Brand Mother

“I began cosmetology career in 2010 knowing I wanted to specialize in on location makeup and hairstyling (a very ambitious dream at the time). I worked along side other bridal teams for many years and was able to have the opportunity to do makeup for new Orleans fashion week, miss Louisiana, tv commercials and multiple magazines. After years of learning and growing as an artist I saw that there was something missing for the clients in the industry; a team that focused on the artist. I believe that a supported artist = a supported client. In January 2019 I took a huge leap of faith and started my own brand. Wildflower is more than just a hair and makeup team, it is a brand standard. It is a collective of artist’ who have earned their title as a Wildflower artist.

Over the next few years, I poured everything I had into growing my brand. creating my own booking system, making content, networking, constantly educating myself so I was able to share more with my artist’s. As the demand for my services grew, i found it difficult to focus on the other area of my life that brings me profound purpose, my family. after much thought and planning, in 2022 I relocated to Derby Kansas to be closer to my husbands family.

My Kansas tribe came together beautifully, while my Louisiana Tribe continues to grow and flourish. After 14 years in the industry, 11 years of servicing weddings almost every weekend, I have closed my personal wedding books. This allows my energy to focus on creating a better admin experience for our brides, coach artist’s through their growth, and soak in as much time as I can with my daughter.
